Each year the youth groups from the First English Ev. Lutheran Church in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI participate in a program that helps others in need throughout the world. This year they choose Little Dresses for Africa. Annette Zebracki made the poster and gave them a few dresses to get started with the program. The children and young adults then decorated their Giving Tree with paper dresses and britches as they learned about the need for clothing and basic needs in Africa. Throughout the holiday season they donated gifts of colorful fabric, thread, bias tape and other notions to place under the Giving Tree. Minister,Gerry Udell then donated all the fabric etc., to her friend Marie Boucher and her daughter Annette Zebracki. This mother-daughter team has been sewing for Little Dresses for Africa since 2007. They were thrilled to receive all the lovely fabric. These donations will make many little girls throughout the world very happy when they receive a brand new dress for the first time. THANK YOU to the Youth Groups of the First English Ev. Lutheran Church!
