I have to show you some pictures of the amazing day with Troop 30209. These beautiful and bright girls came in May to work with our group with their amazing leader, Linda Roberts. They are earning their Gold Award in Girl Scouts and I can see why! They are not only smart and hard- working but simply some of the nicest people I have met in a long, long time! We sized and packaged the dresses that had come in that month and they they even cleaned up the empty boxes, and put things back in MUCH better order than it was before they got there. This is the kind of help that really encourages me and helps me to know that together we WILL get it done! Thank you so much! Love, Rachel
this note from Linda!
Thank you for all of your kind words. It was an honor to be able to help your organization with dresses and packing. We are truly in awe of your selfless dedication and drive.
We had a lot of fun and were really amazed at what was accomplished on Saturday! J The girls still find it hard to believe the amount of dresses that pass through your home on a monthly basis.
I am very proud of my scouts for choosing to make dresses for the children of Africa for their Gold Award project. It was your patience and personal accounts, that you shared with them 1 year ago when we met at Trinity, that helped them realize the significance of their project and how it could affect another girls’ life. Especially when you spoke about how the young girls are treated and that something as simple as a dress can mean so much. It certainly touched their hearts, it really helped them look deep inside themselves.
Thank you again for the kind words and for making a difference in our lives too!
