Dear Faithful, and Beautiful Supporters, of Little Dresses for Africa!!!
First of all, you are amazing! The outpouring of support and excitement concerning the upcoming Fund Raiser is nothing short of amazing. I have said from the beginning, that the hand of God has obviously been on this mission. There is no way that we could grow the way we have, touch the lives that way we have, gotten the support from all 50 states, and gone to over 30 countries in Africa, without the blessing of God and His direction. No WAY!
In planning the event with Laura the Elephant, on Saturday, Aug 13, from 10-4, the same thing applies: Donations are coming in to support her cost. Items are being offered for the Silent Auction. Volunteers are writing to say they will be there to serve. Music by MetroSouth Church, Food by Stanley’s Market…Everything is falling into place. PRAY FOR A CLEAR DAY! A girl that I am email friends with, that I have never met, brought two GORGEOUS collector dolls to my house, for the Silent Auction. A home made quilt has been promised and will be on its way. Golf packages, Best Buy items, my friend, Carol, has been working her tail off on gorgeous baskets for the auction! Ads from surrounding businesses. Our son’s friend, (and ours!) Dave, has planned a baseball tournament in the adjacent park, to bring folks in. It just doesn’t stop. To God be the glory! I just have a feeling, we haven’t seen anything yet.
So! Make your plans to be there! It’s going to be a great and fun-filled family day!
By the way, we have been nominated for 3 Get Classy Awards, with a possibility of winning some cash that goes along with them. Watch for details here and on facebook. The first level was a submission, which we passed. Then, we needed 100 votes on their page. We got closer to 300. The next stage was voting by their judges, which we are in now. If, no make that WHEN, we get to the next level, we will all need to vote so we can get to the final level. I’ll keep you posted, so stay tuned. Thank you all so much for all you do.
Love and gratitude,
