More Snippets from our sewers! Thank you so much for your kind words!

I read the article in the Free Press and felt compelled to make a donation in honor and memory of my mother.  She made so many dresses for me, my 3 sisters and many of her grand daughters.  The anniversary of her death is coming up and I know that she would love the work you are doing.  Trish G.

On behalf of our dear deceased friend and sister in Christ, Carole Rice, we are sending dresses to you for shipment to Africa.  Carole purchased material and patterns to make these dresses.  She has always been a servant to others and would beam with a smile whenever she talked about sewing theses dresses; however, before she could do so, the Lord called her home.  The women of the church fulfilled Carole’s wish to send dresses to Africa for little girls.  Little Paint First Women of the Church of God

I had so much joy making these dresses and will continue to do so because I can make someone smile knowing what God wants me to do with my spare time.  I am a mother, grandmother, and work full time outside the home, but God has given me a gift and I will use it to his glory.  Shirley, California

This is the first time to participate in the project and I have enjoyed sewing theses items so much.  My husband is in poor health and this is something I can do at home and still take care of him.  Connie S.

I was so blessed to hear about Little Dresses through a little girl.  She was very excited to help girls her age and make beautiful dresses for them.  Of course, my heart was overjoyed to see her inspired to help.  And to hear that she was confident that the Lord was part of this ministry!  We will pray that the Lord continues to bless this ministry and many testimonies of the children who receive them glorify our father in heaven J  Chelsea, Washington

I heard about LDFA  on Nancy’s sewing show.  My oldest granddaughter was 11 and I immediately thought it would be a wonderful way for me to teach her to sew and give her some insight into the lives of children who don’t enjoy the affluent lifestyle she does. Now, my granddaughters and grandson all sew dresses and shorts.  We have benefitted greatly from the opportunity to brighten the lives of other children.  Thank you for your vision and dedication to this project – you are in our prayers.  Eudalia H., Tennessee

I know you are close to departure for Malawi, Africa and decided at the last minute to send “cross body” bags.  I’m not a seamstress, am left handed, but will make no more excuses not to send these bags.  May God’s hedge of protection surround you and everyone accompanying you.  May LDFA open doors to the love of Jesus.  Renee S.

I received the two boxes of dresses and shorts.  I cannot imagine the joy of the kids in Uganda when they receive this.  Thank you so much for your past in spreading the gospel of Salvation to the lost.  May God bless you as you bless us.  Together in His service – Anna

I don’t sew but would like to contribute to help pay for the postage for these dresses.  The amazing article appeared on my birthday and was my greatest gift!  I shared the article with those in the office that do sew.  By the way, angels and saints were rejoicing too!  Love & Blessings, Candace.

Here are the dresses Mom & I have made, along with a check to cover postage.  Everything we do is for the glory of God!  Best Wishes April G.

Every little girl loves a new dress, especially these little ones who have so little!  Enclosed is a check to help cover shipping costs.  God bless you all – Arthur K. Michigan

One person can make a difference!  So glad to hear of your wonderful and compassionate mission for the children of Malawi and would like to be a part of it.  Joanne N.

Makes the meaning “What you do for the least of my brethren – you do unto me” very real.   Prayers from us will precede your journey to heaven.  The good Lord needs people like you to continue his work.  We are enclosing a check to assist you in your noble endeavors.  Henry & Ann

We are sending a box of dresses that were lovingly stitched by Brownie Troop 479 in Huntley, IL – mostly 8 & 9 year olds with some help from some mommas.  We pray that they will make some other little girls feel special & loved and that they know we are praying for them!  I love your mission and think it is just fabulous. Julia H.

Every little girl deserves to feel pretty.  We are sending 15 dresses and money to help with the shipping.  Cindy,  Michigan

Our story behind the dress . . my granddaughter came to visit with us this summer and I thought it would be a great time to get her to see that it is important to do things for others.  So, we picked out the patter & material and spend the day making a dress for a little girl in Africa.  I hope the little girl that receives this dress also receives the love & care that we put into making the dress.  Jannette, Texas

A few of the Club women (GA Federation of Women’s Clubs) have embraced this project and are pleased to send to you 42 dresses, 4 pairs of shorts and a check to help with shipping.  Good luck with your continued work as you touch the lives of communities of children around the world.  Patricia W.

I can imagine the smiles that you bring to the girls!  God bless you, Linda S.
