Dear caring friends – This project started out as a Library Summer Reading Program. We read the book, “The Hundred Dress”. Then we decided to teach the children how to sew. So many people donated the material and the trims. Seven children learned how to sew. The pillow case dresses are a great way to begin. I think we have around 120 dresses. May God bless you in this mission.
We are sending approximately 170 dresses, with another box coming in a few weeks. It has been a privilege to participate in this worthy cause. The sweet sisters of our women’s organization, the Relief Society, have enjoyed making these dresses for little girls in Africa. We hope that they will benefit those less fortunate than us.

These hand made aprons seemed like a perfect donation for the Malawidresses. My mother delighted in making use of any material. She had even made baby quilts from many hand me downs.
God bless you,
Our grandchildren have plenty of clothes, so as part of their birthday gifts this year, is a donation to your organization. Ben, who turned nine this week, says the boys shorts are his favorite “comfy” type. Hopefully the check will help send the dresses, underpants and shorts. Joan W., Sturgeon Bay, WI
I hope these little dresses make some little girls happy. I’m enclosing $20 to help with the shipping. Wish it could be more!
My mom, who is 91, my granddaughter who is 9, and I sewed these dresses. Hope they bring some joy to 7 young girls!
Leila J., Nyasia E., Carol M.
This summer Emma (age 8) worked on these dresses with her grandma – she did lots of the decorations. I’m sending along a check as well to help defray shipping costs.
Made with prayers & love.

May God bless your ministry abundantly? I’ve prayed over these dresses and hope they help in a small way. The enclosed scripture verses can be included with the older girls dresses as you see fit. Love in Christ –
Dear Little Dresses – It is my joy to send these dresses for 9 little daughters of God. I pray that your ministry will flourish as you reach out to those who are materially poor. Thank you for all that you are doing to bring hope and the love of Christ to others! Love & Blessings,
Katie D., Roanoke, VA
I spoke with you briefly after seeing the nightly news with Brian Williams where they were spotlighting LDFA. I haven’t been able to get LDFA off my mind. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our Lord & Savior. May God richly bless you and LDFA. Sincerely,
I am delighted to be a part of this effort to bring dresses and fellowship, and hopefully joy, to those in need. Keep up the good work! Regina
Megan is a 10 year old who was in my class last year. She, with some help from her mom and myself, made these dresses for the LDFA ministry. This is not only a blessing to the recipients, but to us! Sincerely,
Mary Jo. M.
After reading your article in the Detroit Free Press, myself and several of my friends are sending pillow cases for your use in making more dresses. With kind regards,
Amy O., Kristy S. Tracy H., Diana R.
Our granddaughter, Maya was adopted many years ago from an orphanage in Kazakhstan. She is now 13, but also never had a pretty dress until we adopted her. During the summer months, we began making dresses. She took so much pride in this project and helped in many ways. God’s peace,
S. Sayko and Maya B.
My daughter spent 7 weeks of student teaching Ghana, so we truly appreciate this wonderful opportunity to send these dresses.

God bless you and your fellow helpers for spreading Jesus love to these children.
Sincerely, Christie A., & Vicki S.
Hope this package finds you well and hope to someday be down your way on a Thursday night for “work night”. With blessings,
JoAnn S., Novi, MI

Our young girls were so honored to have you speak at our May benefit fashion show and consider your charity most worthy. We applaud all your efforts in making a difference in the lives of the children of Africa. In honor of our organization, the Tribeta Maids of Athena, please accept our donation in the amount of $500.00 to be applied where you deem help is necessary. Enclosed are the dresses that were made and modeled in our fashion show by the children of our Sunday School. We hope that in some little way, we too have helped in making a difference. Your efforts will always hold a special place in our hearts. God bless you on your crusade to help the children. Christine & Stephanie G.,
