I wanted to take a moment and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! It has been a wonderful year. We have passed many milestones and because of your generosity we have accomplished a lot for the people around the world, in the name of Jesus. The primary school has been completed. The School Master’s house is ready to be lived in. We have been awarded a school master and a teacher to begin in January 2013. We have distributed well over a million dresses to 43 countries in Africa as well as other countries in need. We continue to get national recognition, not for ourselves but for this ministry, in the name of Jesus.
It has been my honor to work with all of you this year and I look forward with great anticipation to see what the Lord has in store for LDFA in 2013. We are an ongoing ministry and will continue as long as we are led. Our plans in 2013 at this point are to take a team to Malawi in August 2013. We have a great team coming together. Their names are under the “donate” page and if you are able to help with their trip or any of the projects, we would encourage you to do so. Contributions are tax deductible if you want to do it for 2012 as well.
We will be conducting Bible classes, distributing Buckets of Hope, Teaching classes, visiting the sick, distributing Bibles and and of course thousands and thousands of dresses and britches for boys. Our big project this year is “A Well for Janet”. We are raising money to bring water to Janet’s community at the top of a beautiful hill in Malawi which will serve over 3000 people. She is an 8 year old orphan girl who is the head of her family. She walks several times a day down a mountain to fetch water. This well will make a tremendous difference in their lives and health of this area by offering clean water to this community.
You have been faithful to keep sewing and for doing such a great job sizing and packing these dresses and we are so grateful. Your part is very important. These dresses go as Ambassadors to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy. This is where change begins. Thank you so much and God bless you in the new year. I posted some new pictures of the distribution of dresses that has taken place lately under “gallery”. I hope you find your dress but even if you don’t, please know that it was received with joy and has made a difference in the life of a child. Please stay in touch and thank you for your help!
Also new posting under “Awards”. Thank you to the American Association of Univeristy Women who were so kind to present me, on behalf of Little Dresses for Africa, “Salute To Women 2012”. I will post pictures of the awards luncheon as well as pictures of our amazing partners going to Mali taking 453 boxes. That is close to 45,000 dresses!!!!
