I hope that everyone has survived the busy holidays and that you are ready to dive into 2014! I am! We have so much to be thankful for and so many projects to complete this year! We have contracted a company in Malawi to help us begin the second block of rooms for the Nan Ray Primary School in Ntcheu. We will hopefully be able to afford a storage area also at that location so that we can keep our tools locked up for subsequent projects as well as storage for food and school supplies. We are hoping to work with a sponsor to get a soccer field to the school. We take these kinds of things for granted in this country, but to be able to get these kids in their favorite sport will not only be a great self-esteem builder but will give us an opportunity to teach much needed team skills. We have raised about half of the money that we need for this $30,000. project so if you have an idea for a fund raiser or would like to sponsor one, let me know. I am happy to come and speak to your group if schedules permit if you have a dinner or party to raise money for LDFA. I’m excited to be going to Washington in the spring to celebrate with an awesome group that Chris M. runs and can’t wait to meet those busy bees! We will also be installing another well in Malawi in the Chinkhluchina Village. Thank you to each and every one of you that have made this possible with your donations. Remember to check with your employers to see if they have matching donation forms for the time that you donate making dresses. Honda has made a huge difference with matching donations, as has Mellon. We are so grateful. God Bless YOU in 2014 as you BLESS OTHERS!!!
