Eat, Drink and Be Scary Fund Raiser, Oct 27, 2012
Our fund raiser this year on Oct 27, 2012 “scared up” some serious fun with an amazing variety of very creative costumes, delicious food, great music and a wonderful turn out. With the help many faithful volunteers, ghosts, and southern bells, clowns and witches we had a terrific time at the lovely Fellows Creek Golf and Conference Center in Canton, MI. Supporters from out of state sent checks in lieu of their attendance. Many sent auction items for us to sell. Some drove from quite a distance to be with us and together we were able to raise over $11,500. The money raised will be used for operational expenses and shipping costs of the thousands of little dresses and britches for boys that continue to arrive daily. We are grateful for your continued support and thank you for being part of “Eat, Drink & Be Scary”.

BACK TO SCHOOL WITH LAURA THE ELEPHANT!!!!! 2011 FUND RAISER!!!
2011 brings an exciting twist to our anual fund raiser! Little Dresses for Africa welcomed, African rescue from Zimbabwe, Laura, the FAMOUS elephant! Laura, star of popular movie, Ace Ventura, and also many commercials, shows in Las Vegas, and appearances all around the country to schools and communities, was the star of OUR show, on Saturday, Aug 13, 2011.
Our focus was children helping children. We collected tons of school supplies and will continue to do so untilt he container leaves, God willing, at the end of the year. Your generous donations brought $12,500 for the shipping of a 40ft container to the Nan Ray School of Learning. Our goal is $17,000, so we are well on our way!
This primary school, built by supporters of Little Dresses for Africa, is located in Malawi, East Africa, in the Village of Thobola. We will be collecting any and all items, to help the kids with their learning; pens, pencils, paper, text books, readers, learning centers, computers, playground equipment, sport equipment, and much, much more. All of these items go in the name of JESUS and we beg you to be part of His plan! None of it will happen without you! Please let me know if you or your school or church would like to be a collection center. We have been graciously given a warehouse to store these fantastic items!
Thank you to all of you who made this day a success and to those of you who will still be contributing items or finances to this lifechanging project. Continued thanks to Material Processing for providing space in their warehouse to store these items for shipping! God bless you!!
Love and thanks!
Rachel
