Amazing start off to 2010!

Kalahari llogoAmazing things continue to happen with Little Dresses for Africa. Some ideas that were planted last year are springing forth into huge blessings. We have been in communication with the greatest water park around, Kalahari Water Resort. They have put up a permanent display in their lobby to raise awareness concerning the plight of the children of Africa and also give their guests a chance to get involved with LDFA. They have made it available to make a donation at any register to help with shipping costs or to sponser a specific dress by paying for shipping, and they will be showing the Little Dresses for Africa video on a continuous loop at the display. These ideas, and many more are to come, both at the resort and in the community. We are so honored to partner with such a high quality establishment, not to mention FUN! If you haven’t been there, book it now. It is simply outstanding for all ages. I really mean that. They didn’t ask me to say it! Their involvement sends a clear message that this high quality African themed resort cares about the children here and across the ocean. Thank you, Kalahari!

Also, a very cool group of kids working at the Lake Orion Public Library have made a difference. We received a huge box of dresses. It’s especially amazing to see kids helping other kids! I love it!

2Providelnc volunteersCheck out the pictures under “Sewing Parties”. You’ll also find pictures from The Church on the Rock, in Morgan Hill, California and a group from the First United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa, California. We received these beautiful pictures with boxes and boxes of dresses from these groups. Be sure to continue to send your pictures.

Thanks, everyone, for your continued help on getting these blessings to the children. You are changing lives, one little dress at a time!

Love, Rachel
